I have the cutest dogs on the face of the planet. I can't help it; I just do. God made them that way, and who am I to argue with God?

If this doesn't make you smile then you're probably heartless. You should go to the doctor immediately. 

Nails

I had a rough day the other day, and I treated myself to a manicure. If you can't feel good you might as well look good and fake everyone out. That's always been my motto. Not really, I just came up with that, but it is definitely going to be my motto from here on out.

I choose a neutral grey color, because, well I always choose a neutral grey color and why break tradition? I'm now sporting OPI Berlin There Done That.

It was the best $17 I've spent in a good long while.

 

High Five For Friday!

It's Friday! Excuse my southern, but lord have mercy this has been one more week!

I spent a lot of time with family this week, and I learned that my brother and I are probably the Catch Phrase champions of the world. Maybe even the universe. BTW, join me in giving him a shout out for his bday!

It's OK

On days like today, or weeks like this week, I sit back and remind myself that some things are OK.

It's OK that ...

We've had people at our house every weekend since Thanksgiving. Family/friend time is a good thing.

I'm ready for my house to be guest-free. I need some serious downtime with my husband. We've been so focused on other things that we need to re-connect and re-focus.

I'm going to lie around all weekend and watch trash TV. I'm ex-haust-ed!

Someone was a real jackass to my BFF right after she got engaged. She will reap what she has sown.

I really wanted to use my bonus check to buy this LV bag, because I didn't. I paid a credit card. and then I cried

I ate junk food like it was my job last week.

Emerald Is The New Black

In case you haven't heard, Pantone named Emerald as the Color of the Year for 2013. This was exciting news to me; I look awesome in jewel tones if I do say so myself. And I do.

12 Things 2012 Taught Me

Today, we welcome a new year. It's full of hope and potential. But, before we dash forward, let's take a step back and remember 2012.

I've complied a list of the 12 things that 2012 taught me in hopes that I will remember these lessons throughout 2013.

1. Marriage is hard. Like, really really hard.

2. A good night's sleep is the cure for almost anything.

3. Shellac manicures just aren't worth it. They never last 2 weeks.

4. I'm a better lawyer than I thought I was.

5. I don't want to move again for a really long time. Moving sucks.

6. No matter how much I want them to, some people just are not going to be respectful of my time, so I might as well learn how to deal with it.

7. I love blogging.

8. If I need a break, it's OK to take a break. I don't have to be Wonder Woman.

9. Writing in pink ink is way more fun than writing in black ink.

10. I just have to let some things go.

11. Times goes by so quickly.

12. Cupcakes and champagne just may be the secret to happiness.
