Spring into Color!

I know Spring is still a couple of months away, but I can't help but get excited about it. I'm loving all things bright and colorful!

Wearing color can be intimidating, so I find I'm most comfortable adding bright accessories - especially handbags. I've put together a collection of some of my favorite bags that will fit into your wardrobe and make you gaga for color!

Emerald Is The New Black

In case you haven't heard, Pantone named Emerald as the Color of the Year for 2013. This was exciting news to me; I look awesome in jewel tones if I do say so myself. And I do. 

Whether you love emerald or hate emerald, it looks like we'll be seeing tons of it this year. But never fear, my pets, Auntie Jessica has complied a collection of emerald items that will have people green with envy. See what I did there?

Sparkle Savvy

Jewelry can be a great way to add pizazz and sparkle to any outfit; it can also be expensive. Now, I love J.Crew as much as the next girl, but I have no interest in paying $100 or more for costume jewelry. Maybe I'm cheap, but I like to think of myself as savvy.

I can predict the future

In 2008ish (I can't remember if it was early 2008 or late 2008) I purchased this necklace.

In September of 2012 I saw this necklace for sale.

Yes, folks, I'm psychic. I have the ability to predict what will be in style 4 years from now. I'm seeing lace and champagne pink. Mark my words.

Summer, fare thee well

This weekend I scrambled around trying to wear all the summer clothes and accessories I hadn't worn yet or won't wear after today. It was kind of fun.

I also tried to get my house in order because next week several of my friends will be in town, and they haven't seen our new house. I got a few projects done, and I'm pretty happy with the way they turned out.

The cherry on top of my weekend was Kris buying me a silk dress from Banana Republic. What a sweet thing for a husband to do. Now, I need to go somewhere fabulous so I can wear it. 

I have to work for a little while today, but I'm leaving mid afternoon to spend a little time with Kris. What did you do to celebrate the unofficial end of summer?
