Jamie's 10 favorite quotes

When Jess asked me to guest blog for her while she was on vacation, I was excited and nervous at the same time! Instead of overcoming my fear of blogging and backing out, I decided to put on my "big girl" panties and do it! That thought led me to my title " Jamie's 10 favorite quotes"!

My job really stresses me out. As a 5th year teacher of 4th grade students, my nerves are literally shot at the end of the day! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy teaching, but it is very stressful. My day doesn't stop there at 3:00. I must keep on going, so through out the rest of my daily adventures, I must not bite off anyone's head. I must keep reminding myself to be a lady and keep calm! To keep chipper, I keep a page or two or three at my desk to help myself keep in check! Men, these may not be geared toward you, however, you should appreciate them as they keep some women in check! Enjoy!!!

Audrey Hepburn, a lady of style and grace, says it best (in my opinion)!

1. “I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”
Audrey Hepburn

2. “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!”
Audrey Hepburn

3. “The most important thing is to enjoy your life—to be happy—it's all that matters.”
Audrey Hepburn

4. “The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
Audrey Hepburn

5. “You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him.”
Audrey Hepburn

6. “I don't want to be alone, I want to be left alone.”
Audrey Hepburn

7. “Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others.”
Audrey Hepburn

8. “people, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.”
Audrey Hepburn

9. Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one.”

10. “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not.”

Honorable Mention :)
“Just tell yourself, Duckie, you're really quite lucky!”

I read the Book Have I Ever Told You How Lucky You Are? to the 4th graders at my school on Dr. Suess' Birthday Celebration! This was a fabulous book! It brings a lot of things into perspective and reminds us that things could always be worse!
