When I was in middle school/high school graphic tees were all the rage. You know, the ones from Abercrombie & Fitch or American Eagle? They always had some suggestive language or an obscure sport on them? Are those still popular with the kids?

Well, it appears they're making a come back. At least for people my age.

Let's Talk About Makeup

Much to my husband's dismay, I love shopping for makeup. Over the years, I've discovered some products I really love both at drugstores and department stores. Trust me, you do not have to spend a ton of money to get good products, but definitely can if you have the budget. Here are some of my favorite drugstore and department store products.

 

Foundation: Garnier BB Cream ($12) and Benefit Some Kind of Gorgeous ($30)

Mascara: Covergirl Professional Super Thick Lash ($5) and Dior Diorshow ($25)

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter ($6) and Mac Lipstick ($15)

High Five For Friday

Holy work week. This one has gone by so quickly, and I am amazed I survived. Well, I guess I really haven't survived yet. I'm working today so we'll see if I make it.

Here are 5 awesome things from the week!

1. Muscadine Gin Fizz. It was fabulous!

2. My husband sent me the most gorgeous flower arrangement for our second wedding anniversary. That was last week, but I forgot to share this picture.

3. In case you were absent from Instagram yesterday, I dressed as Where's Waldo.

4. And my friends dressed up, too. Love them!

 

5. I saw the cutest little boy last night while passing out candy at my house. I didn't get a pic, because that would just be weird. "Excuse me sir, who may or may not live in my neighborhood, do you mind if I take a picture of your kid? I swear I'm not a physco." Um no. But just imagine the cutest little boy you've ever seen, times it by 10, and add adorable eye glasses. That's how cute this little guy was.

Overwhelmed

I feel so overwhelmed I can barely stand it. My workload at my job has increased significantly the last couple of weeks, and it looks like it will stay that way.

We are having work done on our house, and it is in shambles. Meaning I have no peace when I come home. If you know me, a peaceful environment is as important to me as breathing. Maybe more.

I'm a mess inside and out.

Weekend Shenanigans!

Wow, I feel like such a hot mess lately! I've fallen off the diet wagon, stopped cleaning my house, created uninteresting & poor quality content around these parts, and basically allowed my life to lie in shambles all around me. While that's a bit dramatic, it's truly I how I feel. Like I'm sucking at life right now.

Blah. This is too much of a downer topic for a Monday. Let's talk about something else. 

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty low key and went by way too quickly! I worked from 7am until 8:30pm(ish) on Friday. We were outside basically all day, so I spent Saturday thawing out and recovering.

Oh & I scored these shoes for $8.99! I've been eyeing them for a couple of months; it pretty much feels like I won the powerball. Or at least the grand prize on a scratch off ticket. You get the idea.

 

I also enjoyed  some delicious Starbucks, and played around with 2 adorable pups.

Resvology Review

It's no secret that I'm nearing the end of my twenties. At 28 I don't need a heavy duty wrinkle fighting regimen, but I am very aware of the fact that my skin is changing. Especially around my eyes! Preventative care is really my main concern.

This is where Resvology Age Corrective Eye Cream comes in. I've been using it for about a week, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. Two

Kris and I have been married for 2 years today. Today also marks the 7th anniversary of our first date. I can hardly believe it has been that long since we first met.
