Best T-Shirt Dresses

There's something about spring that makes me long for t-shirt dresses. You can dress them up or dress them down and they are oh-so-comfortable. They're basically heaven in dress form. In fact, I bet that's what the angels wear.

Here are some of my favorite t-shirt dresses for spring!

Lilly Pulitzer Daniella Dress - This one is my favorite, and it comes in 3 prints. I'm southern, so Lilly Pulitzer can basically do no wrong.

GAP Colorblock Stripe Dress - In my opinion, GAP is a great place to get basics. This dress is just that, a basic wardrobe piece that will never go out of style.

Mossimo Supply Co. T-Shirt Dress - I like this dress because it's more casual. I might pair it with converse to avoid wearing jeans but keeping the casual vibe.

Old Navy Tee Dress - The print on this dress makes it very versatile. Pair it with heels, like shown above. Or, wear it with flat sandals for a more laid-back look.

So, there you have it. These are the t-shirt dresses I'll be buying this spring. What are you shopping for?

High Five For Friday!

This is my first High Five For Friday post in quite some time, and I"m happy to be back linking up with Lauren Elizabeth to share my favorite moments of the week.

I ran acorss this picture from my Barbie birthday party in 2012. What a gem of a pic. Glad I found it!

This little guy makes me smile. Glad he visited me last weekend, but glad it was ONLY a visit. Read why here.

I got to meet Holly Warlick (head coach of the Lady Vols Basketball team). I was super pumped, and she was so nice!

These little pups actually do like each other sometimes!

I got my hair cut! My stylist took off about 4 inches in the back. I love it!

Have a great weekend!

How do you do that?

Today I'm linking up with Jade & Oak for a How Do You Do That post. It's basically a random cry of frustration about things you don't understand to people you don't understand.

Here's my list.

How do you do that...

People who wake up early to go to the gym. When it's 6am and I'm choosing between sleep and gym, sleeps wins. Every.Single.Time.

People who can twirl a baton. My mom was a baton-twirler and tried to teach me. It never stuck. I still get mesmerized by the baton gliding through her fingers with the greatest of ease.

Bloggers who always have top designer clothes and accessories. Did you sell your soul to the devil? How on earth do you afford all that? Kris and I both have great jobs, but he still has me on designer lock down.

People "don't like chocolate." Let me just say that I don't believe you. Everyone likes chocolate.

Mothers everywhere. My two year old nephew and one year old nephew came for a visit last weekend and OMG I"m so glad they're gone. I love them, but they are a handful. That weekend made me 100% sure motherhood isn't for me.

People who prep their meals. I've tried meal planning, but I never want to eat what I have planned for myself.

Teenagers today. How do you look cute all the time? It seems awkward teenage years are a thing of the past.

Priorities

I haven't made a lot of time for the blog lately. I've felt a little guilty that my real life has interfered with my blog life. While wallowing in said guilt one evening, I finally realized I needed to get a grip. If I'm to busy watching a movie with Kris, having a drink with my friends, walking my dogs, etc. to draft a post, then I'd say my priorities are 100% in line.

So, if I don't post 5 days a week or even 3 days a week, I'm not going to kill myself about it. I'm just going to live.

"20 Minute" List

Your significant other comes home from work on a Friday afternoon and says "You've got 20 minutes to pack your stuff and get in the car. We're going to the beach this weekend." What do you pack? Ready, go!

10 Minute List

1. 2 swimsuits
2. 2 beach towels
3. Sunscreen
4. My kindle & charger
5. 2 sundresses
6. 2 tank tops
7. Linen pants
8. A pair of shorts
9. 2 pair of sandals
10. Beach bag

Now, hop in the car and head to the beach. That's definitely what I wish Kris would say to me on Friday!

April Goals

Oh, hey there. Life has been kicking my sweet southern ass lately. Sorry I've been as reliable as Lindsay Lohan after a 3 day bender in Amsterdam.

But it's a new month, and with a new month comes new goals. Fingers crossed I reach them. Fingers crossed I give a crap by April 30.

1. Get my butt back in gear. I've taken a sabbatical from the gym since mid-February. Oops. I'm determined to step it back up.

2. Read more, watch TV less. That shouldn't be a problem because Kris and I cancelled our cable today. We're a Netflix and Hulu Plus only family now.

3. Eat a proper breakfast. This does not count.

4. Buy more shoes. I have a need for platform/wedge sandals.

5. Be as cool as this guy because nothing is as cool as taking a mid-day pony ride in your pajamas and white nikes. Nothing.
