Nobody knows my struggles...

Hold on to your girdles girls, this is going to be a good one.

A few days ago, an old friend posted (and tagged) some pictures of me on Facebook circa 1999. I was 14. So, they were pretty damn awkward. There is a reason Facebook didn't exist back then, people.

Now normally, I like to pretend I've always been the gorgeous fashionista you see today. JK guys, JK. However, that just isn't so. Lord have mercy, that just isn't so.

As a child, I was pretty adorbs.

As an adult, I'm not so bad.

  2. I had curly frizzy hair, too, and all I was armed with was a hairdryer, which I used every.single.day to no avail in straightening my crazy mane. One amazing hairdresser finally shared that the longer my hair was, the heavier it will be and will better hold down the curls. Thank ya, dear! And then hair straighteners were introduced a year later and I've never looked back! :)

  3. Lol, at least you can look back and laugh. I cringe looking at photos from age 8-14.

  4. Girl, this shit is awesome. I think I am still dealing with the curls/frizz. Thankfully, it's not as intense as it used to be. And mine's not thick. I do be fightin' with the 'crown of curls' growin' right at my hairline above my forehead. #Hotshit
